happy birthday, my love
Saturday, November 15
happy birthday, ty.
I just wanted to wish my main squeeze a happy birthday.
He's reppin' 26 this year & he looks sooo good doing it.
After he got home from practice tonight, we went out to eat at our fave ramen joint.
Now we're planning an early turn in because Ty has his last game tomorrow afternoon!
Wish them luck... they're going to need it. xo

He's been gone a week!
If you follow me on Insta, you know that we dropped Ty off at the airport early morning last week!
Besides missing Drey & I, he's doing great. Thanks for asking...
We can't wait until we're on our 13 hour flight to Osaka! <-- that is sarcasm
No but seriously, I can't wait to get there. It will be like an extended {paid} vaycay to a place most people
only dream about! Oh we are lucky ducks, aren't we.
Tyler has been chillin' & killin' his time.
His $3 beef bowl he loves so much
I asked him to send me a pic of what he was doing. walking around he says.
And that's it! He's been gone a week & 1 day. Stay tuned for more &
keep up with me daily on Instagram! @eemilyosbornee

Hubby is 25!
Here are some birthday facty's about my main squeezy, the King for the day.
~~~~
He grew up in Ogden, Utah and lived that thug life. My very own Slim Shady.
He played college football for 4 years on scholarship & killed it.
He was part of the coaching staff for THIS high school football team that made national headlines this season.
He has rap battles with himself.
He stalked me in college... and I liked it.
His favorite food is candy.
He loves me & Drey more than anything. Except football.
He hates white sauce on foods. Mayo, alfredo, gravy etc...
He would watch The Legend of the Falls every night if I let him.
His man crush is Matthew Mcconaughey.
When it comes to football/basketball/baseball anything, he knows it. He's a fountain of information.
He'd join a cult if Kobe Bryant was the leader.
He played professional football in Japan for 1 season.
He had to put his dreams of playing in the NFL on hold because of Drey & me.
He hates to snuggle, but loves me enough to let me weasel my way into him during the night.
He is Dreydan's hero & Dreydan is his hero.
He might look like a hardass, mean ole douche bag, but he's a big teddy bear.
He flushes the toilet in the middle of peeing & flush again when he's done.
He married a cradle robber...
He's so smart, witty, handsome & he'll do anything for anyone. PUSH.OVER.
He's pretty much the bestest. And he's mine!
Happy Birthday, Lovey!
My new favorite thing.
Last month my totally awesome, most handsomest, bestest, sexiest hubby bought me a
new camera. But not just any lame "point & shoot" camera, a Nikon D3100.
I'm getting better with it {i took a beginners class for it...that's right}, but there are still a million things
I need to learn. Which I prob won't, I'm not that smart.
Anywho, I shlep that thing everywhere. I just can't miss out on a Nikon photo-op. Obvi.
{giving me the "this one is for you baby!" point. he's so sweet.}
{copying dads "point"}
{aaaand he's done}
My new favorite thing is taking pictures of these two with my badass camera.
Because Drey said so.
Anyone with a toddler knows, they are the boss. They make the decisions and you are expected to just roll with it.
So when Dreydan told us he wanted to see "the dinosaurs" {thanksgiving point dino museum}, we had to take him. Had to.
Plus, Tyler has never been! No brainer right thurrr.
I just love them. Most days...
My Happy Place
Most of you know that Tyler works out of town. He works about 3+ hours from where we are currently living and so he commutes back & forth. His work schedule is 8 days on, 6 off. So during those 8 days, it's just me & my little man. Bittersweetness.
Wednesday night {the night he normally gets home}, we were all 3 snuggled in bed together, with our boy in the middle. I could hear them both starting to drift off to sleep, their breathes becoming really soft & shallow.
Drey was curled on his side with his little rump against my belly. My feet managed to find Tyler's legs & made themselves right at home.
And then in that small moment I knew...
This is my happy place. Them.
I laid there & smiled {kinda like a creep} and thanked God for my life. How blessed I truly am, I don't think I'll ever be able to grasp. But they are my happy place and I'm so lucky to be able to say that.
The best short story ever written.
The other night Tyler & I were rummaging through an old box with all of his old
report cards, drawings, papers, journals etc... dating back from EARLY elementary!
My favorite was a real piece of work, a short story titled:
"There's a boy in the girls bathroom"
He was 9yrs old when he wrote it.
There wasn't much to it but it goes something like this...
A boy walks into the girls bathroom and tell her that if she doesn't give him a dollar, he
will spit on her. So she gives him a dollar.
The end.
(it even had pictures)
Isn't my husband SO amazing? I mean, he was Casanova right from the beginning!
Those of you who know Tyler, know exactly this is the kind of work he'd do at 9,
only because this was the kind of person he was at 19. (half kidding)
Hahaha.. I'm so lucky.
Finies Football!
September 1 2012
Elecom Finies vs Panasonic
17-27
September 15 2012
Elecom Finies vs Asahi
14-28
They only play every other week. So annoying, I know...
Tyler is doing as expected, so good! He's a great addition to the team and
gets along very well with everyone. He's just awesome, okay.
I don't get lots of pictures & when I do I'm either stealing them from Finies website or facebook.
But I just sent Tyler a camera and he knows I'm demanding LOTS of pictures very soon.
So stay tuned!
Until then...
Until then...
I'll leave you with this quote straight from the mouth of my sweet, sweet hubby...
"I'm a beast. I crush them. I f**k 'em up like Hiroshima"
Tyler & Japan.
It's been a little over a month since Tyler has been in his new home.
Wanna know what he's been up to? Okay! Talked me into it. Here's an update on my lover boy.
First off, there were so many things that Tyler had to adjust to. Food, air quality, public transportation, amount of people just randomly walking around, the houses, weather, appliances.. Just to name a few. Sit back and enjoy my stories about ALL of these! You lucky ducks you.
Keep in mind that where Tyler is, is not as "Americanized" as a bigger city like Tokyo.
Food! You eat what you're offered or it's considered 'rude'. They eat mostly everything raw and rarely do they cook meat. If by some chance they do, they'll crack a raw egg on top of it. Why hasn't this caught on in America, I ask you? Around day 3 in Japan, Tyler was out at a restaurant with the GM of the team(who tyler said eats out pretty much everyday) and he ordered for Ty, for obvious reasons. Among his plate of the rawest of raw sushi and rice was raw chicken. My husband being the badass he thinks he is, ate it. Guess what happened? He got really sick..shocker! But not like 'oh i don't feel good i'm going to bed early' sick.. He was worthless for a week. He couldn't keep anything down, not even water. I felt so bad but I told him even if he has to be "rude", no more raw food!! The only place he can shop is Costco because it's the only place with American food. Which is fine because Costco is awesome. Just like you... Moving on.
Air quality! They have no limits on smoking. Tyler said everyone smokes and they are allowed to smoke EVERYWHERE. He hates it.
Public transportation & random people! If don't have lots of money, you probably don't have a car. Trains and bikes are the shit there because that is literally how people have to get around. Tyler said that bikes own the road, there are too many people just walking around it gives him anxiety, and taking a train anywhere takes at least an hour. So basically, it blows trying to get from place to place.
The houses! They're all built vertical and extremely close together. A 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house is like 3 stories high! It's really crazy. But how else are they going to cram everyone into that country?? Build up! They aren't very big but a rough estimate on the house Tyler is staying in is $480,000 USD. Um.. that can buy a mansion here!! Also, the doors don't swing open, they slide. Like in the movies.. Yep that's real.
Weather! It rains everyday. In Tyler's words "it's depressing and humid as an MF". When it's not rainy, it's hot and miserable. And I guess winters are cold, cold, cold. Ha, it's like Seattle, Georgia and Alaska all mixed into one little area.
Appliances! Okay this is so silly. They don't use dryers! They have them, but they don't use them. They'll wash everything in their washer, then hang dry. Tyler doesn't know why, he hasn't asked. He hates that too. (he's not a very patient person so hang drying his clothes is the end of world to him)
Randoms! Tattoo's are the plague. Ty said only gang members have them so it's really disrespectful to have one showing. One of his American teammates has one on his shoulder or something and they were showering at the gym when someone told him to get it covered up. He stood there until he had his shirt back on. That guy was a perv if you ask me... ;)
Taking your shoes off is a big thing. You never walk into your house with shoes on, ever. Even at Gold's Gym(yep they're in Japan too!), you have to bring a separate pair of shoes to change into once you get there because you can't wear your 'outside' shoes to work out in. Ty learned that the hard & embarrassing way.
Electronics are not cheaper in Japan. They are the exact same price as in America. However, food is wayyy more expensive. You know the frozen burritos you can buy in the boxes? At Costco, they are $52.
Children run around in packs. Ty said they're all over the city, parentless. Work hours are like 15 hours/day and 6 days/week so that's prob where their parents are. Working...
Has anyone made it this far? If you have then you're awesome. If not and you thought you could skip to the end, go back and read it, jerk. Longest. Post. Ever! I know...
Bloop bloop bloop bleep bloop.
Here's a picture for those of you who only read books & blogs with images throughout.
Tyler is going to Japan.
He was invited by the Elecom Kobe Finies to go out & play football for them.
In Japan.
Japan.
Did I mention this team was in Japan?
The city is Kobe (pronounced koh-bay) and it's in Japan...
I know what you're thinking. Wait? They play football there? Yup. It's a professional American/Japanese league and they have the same rules, same season schedules, same look etc...
It's actually a very cool opportunity and I'm really excited/proud/nervous/anxious/happy for him!
He leaves June 27th.
He'll be going out first, settle in, get the feel for everything, and then Drey & I will follow a little bit later. Hopefully around mid August, give or take a week or so.
Drey & I are going to MISS him so much! I was hoping we wouldn't have to be away from each other EVER. AGAIN. like we were went he went to Georgia. I never get anything I want, do I?
I love him so much. He's my best friend, partner in crime, the whizzle to my whazzle... Sometimes I want to slap that smartass mouth he's got, but he wouldn't the man I fell in love with and married without it.
{viewer discrestion is advised}
you can't unsee this people...
fast forward a little...
after spending hours in the ER and a nasty ass opening of his arm to clean it out (tys dad kept saying it looked like aliens coming out of the holes, he was kinda right), ty was admitted into the hospital and was receiving treatment for Cellulitis. he stayed 2 nights and he got released monday afternoon.
he's all better now people! he can sleep for more than an hour at a time! i'd say that's progress. i still have to help clean out the giant holes in his arm, but i do it with loveee, ha.
that was our weekend. we know how to party.
{small back story}
a couple of weeks ago, in arizona, tyler got a 'turf burn' on his elbow during his game. it started out as any other ones he's ever gotten, but after a week it wasn't making improvement. then last week he was complaining about a lot of pain down his whole forearm, starting with his burn. he was getting giant red bumps around it and his arm was swelling. he went and saw his team doctor and he diagnosed him with shingles and staph infection, caused by blunt force trauma. the doc started him on oral antibiotics and said that if it wasn't getting better after 48 hours they'd have to put an iv in him 2x a day for 7 days. gag, i know. orals didn't work. so he started his infusion treatments and after 2 days it STILL wasn't getting better. it was getting worse. but they insisted it was alright and told him "to hang in there!" saturday night, after he developed a fever, we took him to the ER.
after the ER doc. looked him over, he ordered the ambulance to take him up to a bigger hospital for surgery.
Football season is HEREEE!
I'm happy, nervous, anxious, excited, proud, & a little sad about this years football season.
First off, their first game was last week in South Dakota. Aaaand they lost. 28-29. Not the best way to start off but they've got 3 months to make up for it!
Second, it could easily be the last season of football Tyler ever plays. However, it could just as easily be the beginning. Okay, maybe not 'just as easily' but you get my drift. So work hard boo!
I absolutely LOVE going to football games, especially when its my hubby out there doin' his thing! The atmosphere is so welcoming and I love the buzz in the air, socializing, excitement, tension, smell of random foods, being 'ozzys' girl..aw shucks.., I love it all!
So stay tuned for this seasons updates because i'll be blogging about it ALL! What can I say, i'm a proud wife.
Go, Fight, WIN!
