All about Dreydan!

  1. He has said the infamous words i've been waiting for my whole life. Mama. Uhh, it melts me to hear it! When he first said it I was shocked, but excited. I didn't want to get OVER excited just in case it was a fluke. It wasn't. (i'm smiling so big right now)
  2. He still loves popcorn. He says "popk, popk" It's a hard K sound at the end of POP, ya gettin' it? Anyways, if I don't make it at least once a day, he'll let me have it!
  3. When Tyler says "Dreydan, you ready!?", he'll get down in a football stance with one or both hands on the ground, wait for the 1..2..3..HIKE and then take off! Sometimes he'll just jump up screaming. Either way, it's adorable. Football much here at the Osborne's?
  4. He doesn't like to have clothes on. If I dress him and we don't leave to go somewhere, he will follow me around pulling at his shirt and pants BEGGING me to take them off. At this point, I'm just glad he'll tolerate his diaper.
  5. When Tyler was little he had a Cabbage Patch baby doll. His mom gave it to Dreydan a few months ago and he loves it. He carts it around, sleeps with it, has to have it when we're in the car etc.. It's kinda weird because it's a doll (too girly?), but I let him keep it because it's his "bee-bee".
  6. Football and The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are the only things on TV that will hold his attention for more than 30 seconds. When football is on, he points and says "buttball". Mickey Mouse, he sits cross legged in front of the TV and watches until the end song comes on, then he'll get up and dance with them.
  7. When we go to my parents house in Sanpete, he immediately wants to see the dogs and the horse. And he KNOWS grandpa is more than happy to take him out there to see them for as long as he wants.
  8. He loves everyone. A stranger could take him home and he'd be just fine. ...scary, I know!
  9. He'll wave a say "Byeee" when anyone leaves the house. Then laugh when they wave and say it back.

I did NOT dress him. But it's such a sweet picture.

He makes me smile all day long. He's so smart, I can't get enough of it! He's sooo badass. Love him!

2 years ago I said ''I Do"

Today is my anniversary babyyy!

A couple of weeks ago Tyler had his 'bye week'. Which meant NO football!  He wouldn't have practice, games, meetings, lifts etc.. Taking advantage of that! (okay his week had a bit of practice and meetings but his weekend was free!) My mom suggested we bring Dreydan to her house for a sleepover, she'd get us a hotel room in Salt Lake and we could have a night to ourselves for an early anniversary. Hell. Yeah.

After checking into our room, freshening up, we headed to dinner. We ate at Happy Sumo, sushi is our absolute favorite. After dinner we went to Cold Stone for an ice cream fix, I don't know why because it was freezing outside! Then went and saw Paranormal Activity 3. The last 15 minutes were a trip but overall, stupid. The rest of the night we lounged in our jammies, watched football, and ate pizza. Seriously, one of the most relaxed nights i've had in long time.

In Dreydan's 14 months of life I have only spent the night without him ONCE. So I was a little anxious, a little excited, a little sad to be leaving him for a whole day, night, and another half day. I'm pathetic, I know this. I missed him a freakin' lot!

Today we'll do a little mini date. While Drey is napping, a couple of Tyler's friends will come over and keep watch for us. I know what you're thinking, a bunch of football players babysitting!? Yes. I wouldn't leave him alone with anyone I didn't trust. They're pretty legit!

I love my man.
He can make me smile when I don't want to, apologizes even when it's my fault, and gives me non-stop unconditional love. He might look like a hardass sometimes, but he's a giant teddy bear.

He's the best decision I've ever made.

Happy Anniversary to us!

P.S. Thanks again mom!

The 'No' word.

Dreydan recently discovered the word No
My sweet, sweet baby will point his little finger at me or Tyler and tell us "No no!"... ALL DAY LONG!
I want to say that I get really frustrated when I'm trying to dress him, wash him, feed him, put his shoes on, brush his teeth, change his diaper, clip his nails etc.. all the while he's yelling NO at me, but I can't.
He's too cute when he's mad! Ugghh! Why does it have to be so cute?

Telling me 'No'.

Senior Day.

Tyler's very last college HOME football game was 2 weekends ago, which meant it was also Senior day! A day where they give a shout out to all the senior players, walk on the field with family, pictures taken, ya know the usual. Bittersweetness.
Good thing they beat the crap out of UC Daivs. 34-3. Holla!

Trudy, me, Drey, Ty, Coach Lamb
Yep. Ty is the one with his arms wrapped around the QB.

I have a million +1 pics of Tyler doin' his thang, so this was just pulled at random. #32
The fella's. Brady, Cody L, Cody H, Ty, Nick.
I don't know what I'm going to do with myself now that his college football career is almost over. I've lived and breathed this with him ever since we met! sighhh.
He has two more travel games left. Northern Iowa & Northern Arizona (I'll be going to AZ!). AND if they win both of those games, they get to go to the playoffs. Win, Win, Win!!

Love you babe!

Trick-or-Treat!

First of all, Cedar City is NOT the place for Halloween. Their festivals are jacked up with WEIRDOS, trick-or-treating lights were off by 8, and a total of maybe 10 houses were 'in the spirit'! Lameee.

But because we're awesome, we still had a fun night! We stopped at a couple of friends' first before tackling the town so Drey could show off how cute he looked as our little Dragon. I have been teaching him to "Roar" and put his hands up when I ask what a dragon says. Of course, on this night when we asked he wouldn't do it. Only when HE wanted to.

He was an awesome Trick-or-Treater though! I'd put the bag in front of him, knock on the door, when it was opened he'd just stare at them (Tyler or me would say the magic words), and he'd reach into the candy bowl and put the candy in his bag. That's my boy!

Batman, Dragon, Football player
Ah! So so so cute!
Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
Until next year...
