go home fashion bloggers

i would bet that everyone follows a fashion blog or two.
maybe you read them, maybe you don't. but you're probably following some.

fashion bloggers are all the same.
i believe they all have just 1 goal: to post as many pictures of ONE outfit as they can.
they do great at it too. sometimes i'm really impressed! i counted 16 one time. S I X T E E N.
One outfit. 16 shots. 16...

you guys know what i'm talking about, i know you do.

those outfits are totally inspirational too because every picture comes with a story.
and every story needs a good narrator.
so imma break down each of those stories for you..

first they talk about their day, family, tampons, their new fave coffee spot, whatever...
then they talk about their outfit, how they were inspired by "building it" & how you will be too.
then come the pictures.

part one: the necessary takes.
one everyday smiling, popped knee, holding the bag, pretty background pose. and don't forget the sunglasses.

one cliche up close on the bag while still showing off the arm candy. so clever.

one oh look! this shirt has buttons on the back!

one shoe focus{mind the dirt, if you may}
i'm no professional "fashion blogger" but this should be your last image. right?
because everything else after this is just nonsense.

which brings me to...
part two: the nonsense.
two here i am with my hand on my hip. i look hot, right?

two yeaaa, lemme switch my arm to the other side. tell me how cute my outfit is now that my hand is on my other hip.

two i'll just sit right here & ponder life in the middle of my important fashion blog shoot thingy.

two but i'll smile too so you know how i look in my outfit smiling AND pondering.

two because this is an everyday stance for me so i'm glad it was candidly caught...

there is always a twist somewhere in a fashion post, which brings me to..
part three: Scenery change.
three whaaaa?! a bridge! my outfit looks different standing here, huh. i look good. probably better.

three be serious, em. this is serious. hand.. hip.. focus...

three i'll drop the hand.. the fuh am i looking at?

three does it make the outfit look better if i'm looking down at my shoe? yes. obviously.

three another close up of my bag w/o my hands because duh.

i'm not going to lie, i follow a fashion blog or two. i mean sometimes i can get outfit inspo.. but for the most part, i just want to count their pictures.

30th Anniversary SURPRISE!

My in-laws 30th anniversary is next week.
When they got married, there were only a handful of people in attendance & shortly after they had
to make their way from Seattle to Alaska. So they never got a honeymoon OR a wedding reception.

About 2ish months ago my sister in-law asked me to help her plan a surprise wedding reception
for their big milestone. I told her hell no but she made me do it anyways...

The surprise happened Saturday night & it was pretty awesome.
We spent all night Friday decorating & all day Saturday cooking.
I was Amanda's bitch. She pointed and I obeyed. But together, we got it done!

The wedding cake they never got...

Foooood.

Memory Lane.

Surprise!!

Speech. He cried...

I was proud of all my random center pieces. Thanks mom! :-))

Chocolate on chocolate like they always wanted.

 Us.

They thought they were going to a retirement party with their best friends.
They were surprised to say the least. Success!

I'm bored of this.

You guys, I'm seriously so bored of reading the same shit on everyone's blogs.
It's the same shit everyday with just a different title.
And quite frankly, putting NAME OF TITLE appeared first on NAME OF BLOG is rather annoying.
Do you know how many blogs are out there? And how many posts each blogger has written?
I would go out on a limb and say you are NOT the first person to write about whatever it is you wrote about.
It's a limb and I went out on it..

INSERT HILARIOUS GIF HERE

I had my blog for about a year before I started "linking up" and discovered a whole new world of blogging.
It was fascinating! I loved it! I wrote a new post everyday, checked my stats, gained new followers,
redesigned my blog, I was on a roll. Now a year later... it's not that great anymore.
I'm sooooo bored of other blogs. Mostly the "big" blogs. Not all but most.

INSERT RANDOM PIC OF A BORED PERSON

I know what you're probably thinking Emily, if you're so bored then WHY do you read their blogs?!
Ugh.. because I'm dumb, okay? Cause I was hoping one day they'd stumble onto some new ish.
Nope.

So now I have to sweep the blogs I'm following again and remove unwanted specimens.
Don't be scurred though, if you're reading this, it's prob not you. I love you.

And just so I don't leave this post on a grumpy note, these are some of my favorite blogs:
{in no particular order}

Like I said, these are a just some my faves.
But these are a handful of ones that always make me happy!

OH! And did you guys happen to see my last post?
Did you see the comments?!
That was my VERY FIRST blog comment drama.... I'm kinda proud of it.

Sunday, January 5

Resolutions are retarded.

Do I plan to change my eating habits in the New Year?
Okay I'll be real for 7 seconds... Ideally, sure. Why not! I'd love to.
IDEALLY I'd love to be like "hey honey you know what sounds so good right now? a bunch of shit
thrown in a juicer, juicin' it, and then drinkin' it. mmmm!"
But no. That doesn't sound good to me. The only time I want 13 different ingredients thrown in a blender
is when I'm 89 years old & my grandkids have to puree my meals before giving it to me.
I don't like eating to just put food in my belly because it's "healthy". Nothing pisses me off more than when I waste precious belly space on something I don't like.
I like to eat what I'm hungry for. When I'm full, I'll stop.
And if I want 4 DP's to chase down my pizza, I'm gonna drink them damnit!
I haven't contracted obesity yet {knock on wood!} so I think I'm doing something right...
My grandma always said, "it's not about what you eat, it's about how much of it you eat".
Cool grandma. Now go make me some delicious fudge.

Any workout tips to get you back in shape after the holidays?
Yea. Run.
I haven't looked into statistics or done any myself or whatever.. But I think running/jogging could single
handedly cure our obesity problems in America. Along with smaller meal portions but eh..
Seriously tho. Run that fatass around the block everyday and you'll see results. I'm no Jillian, but I know
results when I see them. I know, I hate running too. But you have to do it....

What is my favorite thing I did over the holidays?
Psh. Easy. Getting presents. WTF was yours?

What is something I hope I can accomplish in 2014 that I did not in 2013?
Ughhh I'm so lazy. I hope to not accomplish shit this year.
Oh and can I say that almost every bloggers resolutions that I've read have said "I HOPE TO BLOG MORE!!!!" Along with a sunny meadow gif with rainbows & butterflies.. Bitch you blog a post EVERY. DAY. How much more can you do? Juuuust sayin'.

Name 3 things happening this year that I'm excited about & why.
Here's the thing about THAT.
If I tell you everything now, it won't be as fun to talk about later.
Plus, you guys will be so bored.
And I'll prob get comments like Well hot damn Emily!! You talked about this back in January! F&%K YOU!
Nobody wants comments like that.
I'll just keep my happenings to myself & if you love me like I think you do, you'll stick around for them.

Linking up with Ashley for Sunday Social.
